About Loft Home Build

This ministry provides a home for a family in Mexico that is in desperate need of housing, but it is much more than that:
  • In addition to transforming the life of the family receiving the home, the whole neighborhood sees the power of God's love in a tangible way.
  • We share the love of God and our gifts with our neighbors in Mexico.
  • It is a great way to support PLC's mission of connecting people to Jesus and one another.
  • We build relationships at home, church, and in the community.
  • It is a great opportunity to show kids how blessed we are to have a home, running water, electricity, gas, etc.

There are two phases to the building process:
  • Build house pieces in PLC parking lot
  • Assemble home in Mexico
 Other important information:
  • No special experience or tools are required.
  • Trained leaders provide guidance and tools.
  • We travel and work together as a group and have never experienced any safety issues.
  • We are hosted by an organization (YUGO Ministries) that specializes in providing support for these short-term mission trips
  • You do not need to speak any Spanish, translators are provided.
  • You can also stay overnight at the YUGO Ministries facility on the Friday night before the home assembly. This provides a great opportunity to meet the family and on-site YUGO leaders.
  • You can also stay overnight at the YUGO Ministries facility after the home assembly on Saturday. This provides a great opportunity to fellowship with other church groups who have similar values and are doing the same thing.
  • The YUGO facility is a safe, clean, self-contained area with all the amenities you need: beds, food (including safe drinking water), restrooms, showers, chapel, WiFi, and recreation area. This facility provides a great space for processing and reflecting on what God is doing in and through us.
  • Please note that a passport is required to re-enter the US!
There any many ways to participate:

 1)  Help with the PLC parking lot pre-build.
 2)  Help with the onsite assembly in Mexico.
 3)  Contribute financially.
 4)  Pray for the safe and successful completion of the home, the family and the spread of the Gospel in their neighborhood.

Take this opportunity to do something truly meaningful that your family will always remember.
