Ignite | Middle School Youth Group

Ignite is a space where middle school students meet every Monday night from 6:00-8:00 to build strong relationships with one another through fellowship, worship, and some crazy games.

Ignite nights also include meaningful times of worship, small group discussions, thoughtful times of reflection, and the chance to dive into God’s Word together.

Middle schoolers (6th-8th graders) will have the opportunity to grow in four vital areas of the Christian life: fellowship with one another, studying Scripture*, spending time with God through prayer, and putting faith into action by serving the community.

As students grow up at PLC, Ignite is the next big step in their journey of faith. It is a foundational ministry where participants can cultivate the desire and the ability to profess their faith in Jesus Christ alongside their close friends. The intended outcome of Ignite is participation in the Rite of Confirmation on Reformation Sunday of the students 9th grade year of school.

Students are highly encouraged to bring their friends! Registration in advance is NOT required to attend, so bring them along!

*Students will need a Bible for each Monday night gathering. You can purchase an NIV Teen Study Bible at a reduced price as an add-on to your registration. If your student needs a Bible more suited to their age, this is a great add on. Using the study helps in this Bible is easiest when all students have the same Bible.
